WALCOTE HONEY
Local honey from local bee hives
Our honey availability varies by season. The first honey of the year is extracted late Spring, the exact date depends on the Spring weather, and we continue to extract until August. Currently available honey is listed below. We sell direct and deliver in local villages in South Leicestershire, and are also looking to partner with market traders or village shops.

Locally Farmed
Walcote honey is collected from carefully maintained beehives kept on local farms in this beautiful part of south Leicestershire.
The bees will be feeding on the local crops and wild flowers of the season, so the texture and taste varies depending both on the season, and the crops that the local farmers have selected for the year.
You might like to try the different "vintages" and compare the flavours and textures.

100% Natural
You might have seen in the news about the problem with adulterated honey. Check the packaging in your local supermarket, and you'll see most honey is sourced from EU and non-EU countries. China is one of the world's largest honey producers.
Our honey is 100% local, 100% honey and 100% natural. It is simply extracted from hives, removed from comb using a centrifuge, and filtered before transfer to jars. Sometimes we warm it gently to help in filtration.
